Over the past few days I conducted a comprehensive pre-purchase survey of Disco Volante, a prestigious 36-meter Admiral yacht built in wood and famously inspired by the vessel featured in the James Bond movie Thunderball.
The survey was carried out over three full working days by a specialized technical team, combining sea trials with detailed on-land inspections. We examined the wooden hull, verified all onboard systems, tested the engines, and assessed the remarkably preserved interiors, which reflect the vessel’s renowned status as a luxury classic.
Disco Volante is more than just a yacht—it is a floating work of art, blending timeless design with a distinct personality. The survey confirmed both the technical soundness and heritage value of the vessel, offering the prospective buyer a clear and informed perspective.
